Dog training has been Rick's passion for more than forty years. His first dog, Buster, was a rescue Collie. Buster was an exceptional dog, consistently winning obedience competitions. In fact, it became difficult to store all the plates, trophies, and ribbons won by the team of Rick and Buster!

Rick's experience with Buster only whetted his appetite for dog training. So much so that he left his job in business (he holds a bachelors degree in business) and took a full time position at the Terroux Training Kennel in Westminster, Colorado. Sally Terroux, the owner, was already nationally known as an exceptional trainer. For over thirty years Rick, as manager of this large training kennel, worked with thousands of dogs and their owners, and oversaw the training of thousands more by the kennel's amazing staff.

In that time Rick truly became a master dog trainer, helping families, saving difficult dogs, and making a name for himself in the greater Denver area. Rick also competed with his own dogs in Obedience, Schutzhund (an obedience, tracking and protection sport for German Shepherds and other protective breeds), Confirmation, and Field Trials, winning many a blue ribbon.

His calming demeanor and upbeat, supportive attitude have won him the hearts of many clients and their pets.
